Prose Online is a literary journal dedicated to making literature accessible to all. Hosted on prose.onl, we provide a platform that includes audio, captioned video, and images compatible with screen readers, building inclusivity for every reader. As a project of Poetry Online, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Minnesota, we are committed to broadening literary participation.
We offer $50 per piece for work accepted after January 10, 2023, payable upon publication. Our journal embraces a wide range of styles and themes, welcoming submissions of flash and short prose in both fiction and nonfiction, spanning traditional to experimental forms. For insights into our preferences, we encourage you to explore the prose pieces we admire.
By submitting your work, you affirm that you are the sole author, your identity is accurately represented, and your work does not infringe on the rights of others. You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Prose Online and its staff against any claims arising from a violation of this warranty.
If you are a member, please report your submission via Duotrope at https://duotrope.com/listing/32326/prose-online. This assists us in maintaining accurate records. We aim to publish at least three new writers each month.
